TaskIt is operated by RAZHORD TECH S.R.L., the developer listed on the app's Google Play and App Store pages. This page explains how to delete your TaskIt account, what is deleted with it, and what is kept.
1. Delete your account in the app
This is the fastest route and it takes effect immediately.
- Open TaskIt and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Go to Profile.
- Open Account.
- Choose Delete account and confirm.
You do not have to give a reason.
2. Ask us to delete it instead
If you cannot sign in, or you would rather we did it for you, email privacy@taskit.ro from the email address registered to the account, with the subject Delete my account. That is the address our Privacy Policy uses for data-protection requests.
Sending the request from the registered address is what lets us confirm the account is yours. If you cannot use that address, write from any address and tell us the display name and email on the account. We may then ask for limited additional information, only where it is reasonably necessary to check you are the account holder. We do not ask for a copy of an identity document for this.
We respond without undue delay and normally within one month. If a request is unusually complex we may extend that by up to two further months, and we will tell you why within the first month.
3. What is deleted
Deleting your account removes:
- your profile, including your display name, optional surname, photo, description and skills;
- your optional telephone number;
- the tasks you posted, together with their photographs;
- the offers you made or received;
- your bookmarks and your blocks;
- your push notification token and notification preferences;
- the reviews other people wrote about you; and
- any identity-document image still awaiting review. Document images are in any case deleted from active storage as soon as a review decision is recorded.
Raw GPS coordinates from the "my location" button are never stored at all, so there is nothing of that kind to delete.
4. What is kept, and for how long
Some information stays after an account is deleted, because it belongs to another person's conversation or record, or because we are required to keep it. None of it carries your name or links back to your profile.
| Kept | For how long |
|---|---|
| Messages you already sent, shown to the other participant as from a "Former user" | The balance of up to three years from the conversation's last activity |
| Reviews you wrote about other people, shown under "Former user" | While the reviewed person's account exists and the review remains relevant |
| A minimal task title or status reference inside an existing conversation, so the other participant can still follow it | With that conversation |
| Authentication security and audit records | Up to 12 months, unless a specific incident or legal matter requires longer |
| Account emails already sent, held by our email provider | Message bodies for about 30 days; delivery records per the provider's own retention |
| Reports and moderation decisions | Normally up to three years after closure or the last action taken |
| Support messages you sent us | Up to three years after the last message, or longer for an unresolved dispute or legal duty |
| Feedback you submitted, and any screenshots attached to it | Feedback for up to 12 months after it is resolved; screenshots for up to 90 days |
| A record of this deletion request and our response | Three years, to show we handled it properly |
Content another user has already copied or saved outside TaskIt is not something we can reach or withdraw.
5. If you change your mind
Deletion is permanent. We cannot restore a deleted account, its tasks, its offers or the reviews it received. If you want to come back later you will need to create a new account.
6. Questions
Write to privacy@taskit.ro with any question about this page, or any other data-protection request. Our full Privacy Policy sets out every retention period, and Section 9 covers what happens to messages, reviews and reports.
